Regular price $31.99Fairly new on the scene, but making big waves, Lectores Vini has produced one of the great Priorat values in the world. DJ-turned winemaker Fredi Torres works with old, organic vines situated on the steep, terraced, slate-soiled vineyards of Priorat, just a bit southwest of Barcelona.
His 2021 Priorat Classic is a traditional blend of 70% Garnatxa, 25% Carinena, and 5% "other local grapes." It sees 12 months of aging in older, seasoned French oak barrels, and the finished wine is exceptional. Of the 100+ Priorats that Vinous Media reviewed in the 2021 vintage, this was one of just two to score above 93 points and retail for less than $30.
