Giovanni and Elena Rava, along with their daughter Margherita and son Marcello run this certified organic estate. Their cellar was carved out by their great-grandfather, and was recently declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Their barbera is coming from limestone/chalk soils, and as with all their red wines, the fruit comes entirely from one hill. Fermented stainless, this is an accessible, low tannin, ripe and fruity barbera. Very food friendly!
