Nuria Altes has mastered the intricacies of Grenache grown in the elevated vineyards of Terra Alta, just west of Priorat. She works with old, certified organic, low-yielding vines, and her Garnatxa Blanca is a wine that all "white wine adventurers" should try.
Bursting with notes of Asian pear, green apple, peach, citrus zest, and flowers, and mineral, this is rich and plum yet precise and juicy on the palate. A great alternative to Chenin Blanc or un-oaked Chardonnay, it is a stellar value from a wonderful, family-owned estate.
