The Almondo estate is one of the reference-point producers of Arneis, that trickiest of Piemonte varieties. The family farms organically, they are very meticulous with their grape sorting, and to taste their Arneis is to taste this variety at its pinnacle of quality.
'The 2021 Roero Arneis Vigne Sparse is a very pretty wine. It is perhaps a bit more generous than Almondo's other Arneis and yet this is plenty of energy and overall brightness.
