Field Recordings is the project of young vigneron Andrew Jones. Over the past 15 years, he has worked in a variety of vineyards throughout California's Central Coast, and during this time, he has spotted some under-appreciated vineyards. About 10 years ago, he started Field Recordings as a way to feature these diamond-in-the-rough sites and parcels.
Fiction was his first creating, and we think it's still his best. Always a Zinfandel-led blend from Paso Robles, Jones also incorporates a number of other grapes into the wine. Year in and year out, it's wonderful, offering up bold, rich, and full-bodied style with ripe tannins and mellow acidity. Delicious!
