Domaine Larue 1er Cru 'Les Combes' Saint-Aubin Blanc

Domaine Larue's Les Combes is a Premier Cru Chardonnay from one of Saint-Aubin's cooler sites, with an east-facing exposure that catches the morning sun. The vines were planted in 1985 and are now more than 40 years old, rooted in shallow, limestone-rich clay soils. The combination of old vines, cool exposure, and abundant limestone gives the wine a pronounced mineral character and a distinct sense of place.

Wonderfully perfumed and precise, Les Combes shows aromas of citrus, green apple, white flowers, and subtle flinty notes. The palate is bright and energetic, with crisp acidity, a refined texture, and a long, stony finish. There is plenty of fruit and density here, but the wine's real beauty is its tension and mineral drive.
