Domaine Fournier Sancerre 'Grande Cuvee'

Domaine Fournier crafts this wine from their vineyards in the village of Verdigny, in the heart of the Sancerre AOC. The estate's Grand Cuvee comes from special sites, all grown on the famed caillottes (limestone pebbles) that Verdigny is known for.

This well-drained and limestone-rich terroir gives this wine its intensity and perfume. Nearly golden in color, this is a riper and broader Sancerre that melds lovely fruit with distinctive minerality. The front and mid-palate are round, but the wine finishes with zesty acidity and lingering minerality. Drink now or cellar for up to 5 years. Bravo!
