Coming from their estate vineyards, just north of Calistoga in the northern-most part of the Napa Valley, this is about as refined and delicious as domestic Sauvignon Blanc gets.
Winemaking is handled by Bordeaux native Christine Barbe, who previously made wines at Carbonnieux and La Louviere, two of the finest White Bordeaux producers out there. She obviously has a firm handle on the grape, and her skill is on full display in this rich yet balanced Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Ripe notes of peach and nectarine are balanced by more zesty nuances of guava, passion fruit, and star fruit. It all adds up to a wonderful bottle of wine!
