Chateau Peyrabon Haut-Medoc
Currently owned by the Casteja family, Chateau Peyrabon prides itself on crafting wines that show the unmistakable character of the Haut-Medoc on the left bank of Bordeaux. Their Haut-Medoc bottling is a classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon taking up the largest parts, with a smaller but still prominent amount of Merlot, and their stylistic choices of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot to complete their vision. Seeing an average aging of 14 months in French oak, 25% of which is new, the wine shows a bold, rich, and structured character. Dark and concentrated with fruits of blackberry syrup, black cherry, and blackcurrant. Cedar, grilled rosemary, mocha, and pepper show the savory and spicy side of this bottling from a producer that shows what the left bank of Bordeaux is all about.
