Regular price $59.99Jacques Diebolt heads up this iconic estate, one of the finest in the Cotes des Blanc region of Champagne. He literally made his first Champagne in 1959 at the tender age of 17, and he's still running the show here with the help of his children. Based in the Grand Cru Village of Cramant and with holdings in Chouilly, Cuis, and Epernay, this is one of the original and still one of the best small grower/producer Champagne houses out there.
Their Blanc de Blancs is 100% Chardonnay from vineyards in all of those villages, and it is a marvelous bottle of wine that qualitatively destroys a lot of big name, big house, Champagnes. Elegant, silky, fresh, and complex, this is a wine to be experienced with a loved one, with caviar (sushi will do), and a stimulating conversation.
