Chianti Classico Riserva for less than $25? Yep, and it's a stellar bottle of wine. The Castellani family have been at it for over 150 years, and the current release of their Riserva is exceptional and offers incredible quality-to-price ratio.
This Chianti Riserva is produced from the family's oldest and best Sangiovese vines, and it is aged for 24 months in Slavonian oak and another year in bottle before release. The finished wine is in prime drinking condition. Medium-bodied, supple, and fresh, it offers up a nice mix of dark cherry, plum, blackberry, orange peel, and herb.
