Regular price $87.99Arista Winery was founded by Al and Janis McWilliams in 2002 with a mission to craft artisanal, site-driven Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley. From the beginning, the McWilliams have firmly believed that the finest examples of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are produced in small lots.
Winemaking is handled by the very talented Matt Courtney, who trained under Helen Turley and John Wetlaufer at Marcassin. Vintage 2020 turned out very good at Arista, as their Chardonnay grapes were harvested well before the smoke settled into the Valley.
"The 2020 Chardonnay Russian River Valley was matured for 12 months in 20% new French oak barrels and finished with six months in stainless steel. Like many of the 2020s from Arista, it is inviting and ready to drink, with white peach and pepper aromas accented by touches of green herbs and beeswax on the nose. The full-bodied palate has a creamy texture and is loaded with peachy flavor, and it finishes with fresh acidity and nutty nuances." - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 95 points
