9th generation winemaker Christophe Scherer makes this classic Alsatian white with 30 year old vines from Grand Cru vineyards. Fermentation in neutral oak foudres gives the wine a rich, round texture and concentrated flavors and aromas of pear, apple, lychee, almond and honeysuckle. This full bodied wine can stand up to richer dishes like risotto, pork chops with applesauce, soft cheeses or seafood with cream sauce.
