The Bouteiller family has for eight generations been in the Haut-Medoc region of Bordeaux. They currently have over 350 hectares on the estate, with 85 hectares dedicated to vines.
The Chateau Lanessan Haut-Medoc is a left bank blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petite Verdot coming from 32 hectares of 30 year old vines, planted on deep Garonne gravel beds. Dark, full-bodied, imposing, and structured. The dark fruited profile leads with ripe plum, blackcurrant, and black cherry. Gravel, burned incense, tobacco, aniseed, and toasted oak all point to why this is a serious left bank Bordeaux.
