Located in Provence in the far southeast corner of France, Bandol is regarded my most wine lovers as one of the best dry rose zones in the world. Bastide de la Ciselette was founded in 2010, and this young and vibrant estate is attracting a lot of positive press and attention lately.
Their Var Rose, from vineyards within and just north of Bandol, is a blend of Grenache and Merlot. Somewhat odd blend for sure, but trust us, it works here. This is very much like a Bandol Rose with its blood orange, raspberry, herb, and mineral notes. It just costs a lot less!
