The Curator Red Blend

The Curator was born in 2011 from a simple challenge: find a natural wine that dramatically overdelivers on quality for the price. That search led the fine folks at Broadbent Selections to Swartland, South Africa’s oldest and most historic wine region.. Known for dry-farmed old bush vines and a warm Mediterranean climate, many of these vineyards were planted generations ago, with some vines over 100 years old. Their naturally low yields produce intensely concentrated, expressive fruit — the kind rarely seen at this price point.

The red is a fun and juicy blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Shiraz (25%), and Pinotage (15%) fermented with native yeasts and brought up in stainless steel. The Cabernet Sauvignon is the bold, expressive component in this wine with structure and a firmness. Shiraz on the other hand contributes to some spice and peppery aromas and the Pinotage temper the tannins resulting in a wine that’s full bodied but easy to drink, easy to open (another bonus) and to share!
