The Root:1 wines are produced by Chile's Vina Ventisquero, and they offer great value for money. Their Heritage Red is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Carménère, 13% Syrah, and 7% Petit Verdot. Light oak aging adds spice and dimension to this crowd-pleasing red.
Displaying a deep color, the nose is loaded with notes of ripe cherry, blueberry, blackberry, pepper, and dark chocolate. Fine-grained and smooth on the palate, it tastes of warm and ripe berries, black pepper, and mocha.
