Noah River's new Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is made by Jamey Whetstone, and it offers incredible QPR. Whetstone sources grapes from top growers in the northern part of the Valley, primarily Calistoga, and the wine sees 18 months of aging in French oak (30% new).
It really drinks way above its humble price point. Nearly opaque in color, the dense nose is packed with notes of dark cherry, blueberry, cassis, vanilla, and toasty oak. Full of flavor and velvety soft on the palate, it finishes long with a burst of dark chocolate. Really good Napa Cab at a great price!
