Since 1860, Prosper Maufoux has been crafting wonderful White Burgundies. With famed oenologist Nadine Gublin overseeing winemaking, the estate makes wonderful wines from the famed and various terroirs of Burgundy, from the Cote de Nuits all the way to the Maconnais.
Their Macon-Villages is classic in every way, shape, and form. Brought up entirely in tank, with 8 months of aging on the fine lees, this is pure and vibrant with classic Burgundian notes of pear, apple, lemon curd, honeysuckle, and crushed rock. Ripe and creamy yet zesty and energetic, it's a terrific find in high-quality and value-priced White Burgundy.
