Pollastrini is a family-owned and operated cannery dedicated to sustainable fishing practices. They are the only Italian cannery of Mediterranean sardines. Based in the village of Anzio, on the coast of Lazio, Pollastrini is a unique and artisan operation. They still fish using the traditional Thyrennian gozzo small fishing vessel, and catch sardines at points in the season when their meat is richest.
Moist and meaty. Medium-large filets. This is their “normal” sardine tin (not vintage, not flavored) and it's quite nice. Perfect for making sandwiches and pasta dishes. Delicious!
