Founded in 1898 and run by the same family for five generation, Cantine Nicosia was one of the pioneering estates of Mount Etna. Certified organic and committed to maintaining their legacy, their wines are great introductions to this volcanic mountain's wines.
Their single vineyard Lenza di Munti comes from the lower slopes of the mountain, and it is a blend of 60% Carricante and 40% Catarratto. Bright straw-yellow in color, this offers up an exotic bouquet of wild flowers, caramelized citrus, and golden apple. Fresh and elegant on the palate, with great minerality, this would pair beautifully with seafood, sushi, and vegetarian dishes.
