Gianluigi Lano is a tiny, certified organic Barbaresco producer, but they also make a mighty fine Barbera. We love this one, as it offers up more of the dusty fruit and floral qualities of a Barbaresco, and it's also got more structure than most Barberas.
Full-bodied and rich, it smells and tastes of spicy plum, dusty blackberry, violet, and dark chocolate. This is all offered up on a juicy, high-toned, and slightly tannic palate that will make this the perfect red to serve with braised or grilled meats. Really good Barbera!
