Felsina's Berardenga is the estate's foundational Chianti Classico, made from vineyards around Castelnuovo Berardenga on the southeastern edge of the appellation. The vineyards sit on ventilated southwestern-facing slopes at 320-420 meters, with soils ranging from quartz-rich sandstone and alberese to alluvial stone and loam. The wine shows classic Sangiovese character, with wild cherry, berries, herbs, spice, and a savory mineral quality.
