The Far Mountain 'Myrna' Chardonnay is fruit coming from the Bald Mountain Vineyard, that was used during prohibition times because of how remote the location is. 18% new oak and with the remainder being done in third, fourth, and fifth use barrels, the wine expresses a distinct complex, driven, and high elevation character. Savory and mineral-driven, with dried pear and bruised apple leading the fruity side of this Sonoma Chardonnay. Layer after layer of lanolin, crushed stone, sea air, dried sage, chamomile, and lemon verbena are why Far Mountain are making a serious name for themselves in Sonoma County.
