Founded in 1896, this small, family-run estate has prime holdings in the village of Maranges, in the Southern Cote de Beaune. Located just west of Santenay and north of Rully, the Charleux family farm organically and work with old vines planted in rocky limestone soils.
Their Maranges Blanc is produced from a plot of 30 year-old vines, and it is fermented and aged in French oak (20% new). Fresh, airy, and effusive, it is deceptively powerful and concentrated, with gorgeous notes of exotic tropical fruits, ripe citrus, white flower, and flinty mineral. Presenting wonderful texture paired with juicy acidity, it's a highly attractive white wine.
