Their Beaujolais-Villages drinks well above its humble designation. (or shows exactly the standard they intend to have set for Beaujolais-Villages) Classic, over-delivering, and perfumed. This light-bodied wine is concentrated with notes of fuzzy raspberry, red plum, peach skin, and pomegranate juice. Blood orange rind, hibiscus tea, and wet dirt are evident on the energetic palate. While this is not Cru Beaujolais per se, for those interested in what Cru Beaujolais can do, this is the place to start.
