Domaine des Gaudets Morgon Cote du Py

Chistophe Sornay is the 5th generation of his family to farm the rugged, granitic Cote du Py section of Morgon. It is these tough, well-drained soils that give this wine its power and intensity. As Christophe says, it possesses "the fruit of Beaujolais, and the charm of Bourgogne." Yep, that pretty much sums it up!

Vintage 2022 was very good throughout Beaujolais, and this is seriously delicious. Deeply colored and full-bodied, it exhibits aromas and flavors of woodsy spice, dark cherry, evergreen, and earth on the nose and palate. Full and rounded, it's very easy to drink, but spend some time with it.....it's quite contemplative too!
