Regular price $27.99Domaine Camille & Laurent Schaller is located in the village of Préhy, in the heart of the Chablis region. Since the mid-1970's, the Schaller family grew grapes and sold all of them to the local cooperative. That all changed in 2013 when Camille Schaller graduated from enology school.
In 2014, this father and son operated winery released their first estate-bottled wines made with fruit they grew themselves. Today, they are undeniably one of the rising stars of Northern Burgundy, and they are starting to get "noticed" by in-the-know wine shops and critics.
Their Bourgogne Rouge is a joyful bottle of light and snappy Pinot Noir. Despite its lighter body and paler color, it possesses a wonderfully pure Pinot Noir profile and even a bit of complexity. Red and dark cherry, raspberry, damp earth, and mineral notes are all evident in this pretty and value-priced Red Burgundy.
