Chateau de Quincay 'Launay' Touraine Rouge

Since 1860, the Cadart family has been farming their land in the Cher Valley, within the larger Loire Valley, and we love the honesty and consistency they bring to their wines. This is a multi generational estate that has stayed true to its roots, focusing on straightforward, expressive bottlings that reflect both place and tradition. Their Launey Touraine Rouge is a great example of that ethos, made from 100% Cot, the local name for Malbec in the Loire.

We find this one to be juicy, vibrant, and nicely mineral driven, with bright notes of blackberry, plum, and black cherry leading the way. There is a subtle herbal edge along with soft tannins that keep things balanced and incredibly drinkable. This is the kind of easy going, bistro style red we are always happy to have around, perfect for weeknight meals or just popping a cork and enjoying a glass without overthinking it.
