After finishing wine school in Angers, she worked throughout the wine industry for 12 years before befriending the Rochais family on the Chaume hill, who owned Chateau de Plaisance (more a farmhouse than Chateau) and its 25 ha of vines growing on the schist bedrock of the appellation. Her Chenin Blanc is an exceptional show in biodynamic Chenin Blanc. Coming from 35+ year old vines within Bonnezeaux and Thouarce, it sees 10 months of aging in stainless steel tanks. Chiseled, focused, crystalline and tense, with superb texture and energy. Orchard fruits of apple, quince, yellow pear, crunchy melon, and apricot pit mingle with ginger, citrus zest, and a stony minerality with an excellent presence of salt.
