Chateau de la Durandiere is located in the village of Montreuil Bellay, just a few miles south of Saumur, Asheville's sister city in France. The chalky soils of Saumur, much like those found in Champagne, are ideal for sparkling wine production, and the naturally high acid character of Chenin Blanc makes it perfect for this too!
Durandiere's sparkling wine is delightful! Crisp and fresh yet packed with flavor, this exudes notes of peach, pear, golden apple, honeysuckle, and mineral. A great alternative to Champagne at a fraction of the price!
