For five generations, the Coudert Family have run this overachieving estate, and in the wonderful 2019 Bordeaux vintage, their wine is truly triumphant. A blend of roughly equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot aged in French oak for 9 months, it's a wonderful glass of Bordeaux at a very fair price.
Full-bodied, plump, and juicy, it offers up perfectly ripened notes of dark cherry, blueberry, mocha, and spice box. Soft and supple tannins make this great for serving with burgers and steaks, but no food is required.
