Marie Courtin is a small, artisanal grower-producer Champagne house based in the Côte des Bar, founded by Dominique Moreau and named after her grandmother. Working with certified organic and biodynamic vineyards, the estate focuses on single-vineyard, single-variety expressions—most notably Pinot Noir (locally called Pinot Noir/Pinot Noir-based styles in this southern region). The wines are made with minimal intervention, often zero dosage, and are known for their purity, precision, and mineral-driven character, offering refined notes of citrus, orchard fruit, chalk, and subtle spice with a taut, elegant finish.

Marie Courtin “Résonance” is the estate’s flagship and most accessible cuvée, a Blanc de Noirs Champagne made from 100% Pinot Noir grown in a single vineyard in Polisot, in the Côte des Bar. Farmed biodynamically and crafted with native yeasts, it is fermented and aged in stainless steel and bottled with zero dosage, emphasizing purity and a direct expression of its clay-limestone (Kimmeridgian) terroir. The name “Résonance” reflects the balance between earth and sky that Dominique Moreau seeks to capture in the wine.

In the glass, it is bright, precise, and complex, with savory notes of curry leaf, white pepper, savory herb, lemon, delicate red berries, and subtle brioche. The palate is dry and tightly structured, with vibrant acidity and a clean, lingering finish that feels both energetic and elegant—making it a benchmark for terroir-focused, zero-dosage grower Champagne.
