Cloudbank Cabernet Sauvignon is our first private-label wine at Table Wine, and it's a project I've been dreaming about for a long time. Made by Jamey Whetstone of Timeplace fame, who trained under Ehren Jordan at Turley, this is a wine I was involved with from the beginning. We tasted through tank and barrel samples, worked through different lots and blends, and kept going until we found the combination we wanted. The result is a Cabernet made specifically for Table Wine, with just 56 cases produced.

This is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from three Northern Napa Valley vineyards, including anchor plots on Diamond Mountain and a very special site on Larkmead Lane in Calistoga. It's full-bodied, rich, and decadent, with blackberry preserves, cassis, vanilla, and tobacco on the nose, followed by dried cherry, mocha, and spice box as it opens. The texture is velvety and fine-grained, with plenty of richness but enough grace to make it remarkably easy to drink. Large and in-charge, but still graceful. This one is pretty damn special, and I'm proud to have our name on it.
