Roberto Crosio farms the rugged terrain of the northern Piedmont with great passion and care for the land. The terroir here is shaped by glacial debris, beautiful lakes, and dramatic Alpine backdrops. Roberto cares for his vines by hand, without the use of herbicides.
His Incanto is the rarely-seen sparkling Erbaluce, one of the most noble white varieties of the Piemonte. Fermented and aged just like Champagne, this sees 9 moths on the lees in tank followed by 40 months of aging in the bottle. The finished wine is brilliant, and we'd be very comfortable sliding it into a blind Champagne tasting. Gorgeous notes of ripe citrus, apple, white flowers, herbs, mineral, and brioche make this a fabulous alternative to Champagne.
