Arterberry Maresh Dundee Hills 'Old Vines' Pinot Noir
Regular price $76.99In 1970 the Maresh family was among the very first to plant Pinot Noir grapes in the Dundee Hills of the Willamette valley. Today 3rd generation farmer/winemaker Jim Arterberry Maresh makes some of the most elegant, critically acclaimed wines in Oregon that are often compared to French burgundy. Jim works with his family's old vines and takes a hands off approach to winemaking so the purity of the fruit and the terroir shine through.
Arterberry Maresh's Dundee Hills 'Old Vines' Pinot Noir is a 100% destemmed blend of fruit from the Maresh and Weber vineyards, seeing wild yeast fermentation and 22 months in barrel. As is on theme with the Pinot Noirs from Jim, it is incredibly aromatic with excellent concentration while maintaining a buoyant character. The perfect mid point in style and price before you get to his single vineyard bottlings.
