Visconti I Bruciati 2022

Baby Brunello at a Crazy-Good Price: Visconti Rosso Toscana 'I Bruciati'

Visconti I Bruciati

Love Brunello-styled Sangiovese(s) but hate paying $50+ per bottle? We can help with that situation, and Visconti's I Bruciati is 100% Sangiovese Grosso that delivers bold, classic, and soulful Tuscan flavors at a crazy-good price. It really does smell and taste like Brunello, it's just softer and more ready to drink.

I Bruciati is made by La Palazzetta, one of the top young wineries in Montalcino, the most famous and prized of Tuscan DOCG's. This wonderful, small and artisanal estate has prime vineyards in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, one of the top sub-zones in the region. It all adds up to a wonderful wine, and you're going to love the quality-to-price ratio here.

We've got 10 cases (120 bottles) up for grabs at deal pricing. I'd snag some sooner rather than later.....

2022 Visconti Rosso Toscana 'I Bruciati': Why should you buy it?

  • It's a legitimate "Baby Brunello!" The younger vines the family uses for this wine will eventually go into their Brunello di Montalcino. These younger vines give us a softer and plusher red with wonderful Sangiovese flavors of fresh strawberry, ripe cherry, mint, sage, and spice.
  • La Palazzetta has quickly established itself as one of the rising star producers in all of Tuscany. Located in the subzone of Castelnuovo dell'Abate, the wines from this specific area have become highly coveted by collectors for their ripe yet refined style. Click HERE to read more about that!
  • Their I Bruciati is 100% Sangiovese Grosso (aka the Brunello clone of the grape) brought up in stainless steel, and it's the ultimate "cellar protector." Drink this while you are waiting for your Brunello to mature to perfection.
  • The hot and dry 2022 Tuscan vintage yielded pleasure-bent wines with good ripeness and softer structure. While this won't age like a Brunello, it will provide joyful drinking over the next 3-5 years.

While this drinks great without food, it's a natural and versatile fit at the dinner table with everything from Bolognese and lasagna to pork and beef tenderloin. The wine's soft tannins and bright acidity allow it to excel with food, but again, it tastes just fine by itself!
