Lambrusco is one of Italy's most food-friendly wines, but this lighter version also makes for a wonderful, late afternoon porch sipper. The brightness and the bubbles cut through the fat in cheesy pizza, pasta, and lasagna, but no food is required.
A great and longtime customer/friend had this at Tall John's recently and inquired as to whether I could get it. The day after that inquiry came in, my sales rep stopped by with this open to try. We tried, we loved, and we think you're gonna' love it too.

Lambrusco di Sorbara is the DOC where you'll find the most desired grapes used to craft this classic wine of Emilia-Romagna. Situated just north of Modena, the Sorbara clone yields wines that are highly aromatic and floral. It is also the lightest-colored of all Lambruscos.
Brand new to the states, there's not much info online, but I know it's a family-run estate, I know it's organic, and I know it's abso-freaking-lutely delicious! Pale ruby in color, this aromatic rose shows the nobility of the Sorbara clone. What it lacks in concentration and color, it makes up for in aromas and flavor.
Flowing with gorgeous aromas of rose petal, violet, and red fruits, it tastes just as good as it smells. Dry, fizzy, and tasting of freshly-picked cherry, raspberry, and pomegranate, it finishes light and crisp. We have never featured a Lambrusco in the 13 year history of the store, and I don't write up wines unless they "move me." Trust me, this is worthy, and it's the kind of Lambrusco you can typically only find in Italy.
Chill a bottle (or 4) of this, and make yourself a charcuterie board. Invite some good friends over, but make sure you have plenty of this one on-hand. It will be enjoyed, but the bottle will be emptied quickly.
