After a long absence, Smith Story's Sauvignon Blanc is finally back, and it's better than ever. This is one of the best Sauvignon Blancs produced in the US, and it comes from a husband and wife that I adore.
As a "welcome back bonus," I'm running a wonderful deal on this one:
Buy a solid six-pack, and it comes down to $29.99/bottle. That's 25% off the regular price of $39.99!

Eric Smith, Ali Story, and their goldendoodle Sandwich are the team behind Smith Story. While they make a range of wonderful wines, I have always been a huge fan of their succulent, juicy, and intense Sauvignon Blanc.
Founded in 2013, Smith Story started out as a couple's love note to Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc. Ali and Eric said this wine was "inspired by the Sauvignon Blancs of Sancerre and Pouilly Fumé, but grown and vinified with a proud California in mind. We often find ourselves referring to this wine as our star child." Yep, they love Sauvignon Blanc, they take great pride in this wine, and you can definitely taste it.
From a blend of two sites in Knights Valley and the Dry Creek Valley, this was fermented in stainless steel, with 6 months of lees aging to allow the wine to settle and add a bit of texture. Layered, incredibly aromatic, and complex, it exudes classic notes of ripe lemon, green apple, pear, flowers, and stony mineral.
While you can sense that Sancerre was their muse for this wine, there's a richer and more textured style here that lets you know it's from California. Beautiful stuff!
Get a solid six-pack of this one, and it comes down 25% to $29.99/bottle. Anything less, and it's $39.99/bottle.
