Founded in 1978 by Chris Bilbro, Marietta Cellars has long been one of California’s great family-owned wineries. What began in an old barn in Sonoma County grew into a highly respected estate focused on old-vine vineyards, traditional winemaking, and wines that emphasize balance over excess. Today, Chris’s son, Scot Bilbro, carries on that philosophy, farming historic vineyard sites throughout Sonoma and Mendocino Counties and producing wines that remain true to their roots.

Marietta’s Old Vine Red is the winery’s flagship wine, a non-vintage blend built primarily around old-vine Zinfandel, supplemented with Syrah, Petite Sirah, Carignan, Grenache, Barbera, and other classic California varieties. The current release offers inviting aromas and flavors of red and black cherry, blackberry, mint, peppery spice, licorice, and earthy herbs. Medium-bodied and wonderfully fresh, it combines juicy fruit, savory complexity, and silky texture into a wine that is incredibly easy to drink with everything from burgers and barbecue to pizza and pasta.
