Maison Hauts Baigneux is the collaborative project of Loire Valley natives Nicolas Grosbois and Philippe Mesnier, two passionate vignerons dedicated to showcasing the remarkable terroir of Azay-le-Rideau. This tiny appellation, located just south of Vouvray, has quietly produced outstanding Chenin Blanc for centuries. Sharing the same limestone-rich soils that have made neighboring Vouvray famous, Azay-le-Rideau is finally earning the recognition it deserves thanks to dedicated growers like the team at Hauts Baigneux.
Le Chenin captures everything that makes great dry Loire Valley Chenin Blanc so compelling. Bright and precise, it offers vibrant aromas and flavors of ripe pear, crisp green apple, and citrus zest, all framed by a distinct limestone minerality. Transparent, zesty, and beautifully focused, it finishes with mouthwatering freshness that makes it as enjoyable on its own as it is alongside fresh seafood, roast chicken, creamy goat cheese, or simple vegetable dishes.
