Colline Aux Fossiles Chardonnay has earned its place as our #1 selling wine for the past several years, and one sip explains why. Crafted by Jean-Marc Lafage and importer Eric Solomon from old-vine Chardonnay planted along the Tet River in France’s Roussillon region, this wine delivers an impressive combination of richness, freshness, and minerality that feels far beyond its price point. The 40-year-old vines are rooted in gravelly, limestone-rich soils, and the wine is fermented and aged in a mix of stainless steel and French oak to preserve both texture and precision.

Stylistically, this lands beautifully between White Burgundy and balanced Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. Aromas and flavors of white peach, orchard fruit, citrus oil, crushed stone, subtle spice, and a touch of creaminess lead into a palate that is ripe and textured without ever feeling heavy. Bright acidity keeps everything lifted and fresh, making this an easy choice whether you enjoy crisp Chablis, golden-fruited Macon, or classic California Chardonnay.
