Claus Preisinger Blaufrankisch Kalkstein

Claus Preisinger's Blaufrankisch is one of the purest expressions of the grape coming out of Austria's Burgenland region. Sourced from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards around Gols and made with a hands-off approach, the wine is fermented with native yeasts and aged in neutral vessels to let the character of the grape and vineyard take center stage.

Bright, energetic, and remarkably transparent, it offers notes of red and black cherry, cracked black pepper, wild herbs, violet, and earthy minerality. Medium-bodied and fresh, with vibrant acidity and fine tannins, it is a wonderfully food-friendly red that pairs beautifully with grilled meats, sausages, pork chops, and mushroom dishes.
