The Root: 1 wines are produced by Chile's Vina Ventisquero, and they offer great value for money. Their Pinot Noir is produced with grapes from the cooler, coastal-influenced Casablanca Valley, one of the best spots in the Southern Hemisphere for Pinot Noir.
Ruby red in color, this exhibits aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and cherry. On the palate, that red fruit component is in full force, but more complex nuances of spice and vanilla emerge. Finishing smooth, silky, and fresh, this is a superb Pinot Noir value.
