Peyrassol Cotes de Provence Rose 'Cuvee des Commandeurs'

Chateau Peyrassol’s Commandeurs Rosé is one I have a hard time keeping in stock, and once you taste it, you will understand why. This is the flagship wine of the estate, coming from some of their best vineyard parcels. I have always admired the way they balance richness with freshness in this wine.

The blend is led by Grenache with Cinsault and Syrah playing supporting roles, and it is just beautifully put together. I get ripe strawberry, blood orange, and white peach up front, followed by hints of savory herbs, citrus peel, and a subtle stony note. There is a nice roundness to the mid-palate, but it finishes clean, crisp, and dry with that classic minerality. Perfect with grilled fish, roast chicken, or a simple spread of cheeses, I am just as happy drinking it on its own.
