The Wines
All wines are $10 or less!
1. 2013 Domaine de Millet Cotes de Gascogne (Southwestern France): The white wines of France’s Gascogne region are some of the best values on the planet. This one combines equal parts Colombard and Ugni Blanc and fermentation is done entirely in stainless steel. Bright, crisp, aromatic and somewhat reminiscent of Sauvignon Blanc, you’ll want to stock up on this sunny day, spring and summer sipper.
2. 2012 Stemmari Pinot Noir (Sicily, Italy): We’re convinced that this is the best Pinot Noir value in the world! This fickle little grape rarely makes anything even close to drinkable for less than $10, but this little wine is more than just drinkable, it’s delicious. Boasting pure and ripe notes of cherry, strawberry, raspberry and a touch of earthy spice, it is soft, silky, supple and easy to drink.
3. 2013 Venta Morales Tempranillo (La Mancha, Spain): Good old Venta Morales! This cheap, but honest to God delicious red wine from Spain has been on our shelves since we opened. The current release just scored 89 points from the The Wine Advocate………….again! This overachiever must be tasted to be believed and this Saturday is your chance to do just that. Oh yeah, it sells for less than $8/bottle!
