The Wines
Prices range from $12 to $19

1. 2014 Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc (Marlborough, New Zealand) – Could this be the best New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc value out there? Wine Enthusiast thinks so (they gave it 90 points and rated it as one of the Top 100 Wine Values in the world) and so do we. Weighty, nicely textured, and possessing that classic New Zealand grapefruit intensity, this is a delicious wine and a remarkable value.

2. 2012 Kanonkop Kadette (Stellenbosch, South Africa) – Kanonkop is one of South Africa’s great wine farms and their Kadette is consistently one of the best red blend values out there. Mainly Pinotage with smaller amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, it is juicy and nicely concentrated with a nice mix or balanced berry fruit and more complex notes of olive, mint, and dark chocolate. For fans of true Bordeaux, this is hard to beat for the money.

3. 2011 Nugan Estate Cabernet Sauvignon “Third Generation” (Riverina, Australia) – Alfredo Nugan and his family make some of the best value priced wines in all of Australia. Josh Raynolds of Vinous Media said “(y)ou could easily spend $50 on a Napa cabernet that has less depth and energy than this wine.” Bold words, but we completely agree and can’t believe that we actually still have some of the 2011. Trust us, this will sell out quick, so get here early.
