Try Three for Free - Michel Gassier Wines

Try Three for Free Wine Tasting! Highly Rated Southern French Wines From Michel Gassier – Saturday, November 20th from 2-5 p.m. – We spend a lot of time talking about the wines of Michel Gassier. Why? Because they represent some of the best value in Southern Rhone Valley wine that we taste every year. We all know the Cercius wines are rock solid, but many of you have yet to try the Nostre Pais red and white — these might best be described as his “Cercius Reserve” wines. Made with fruit from Gassier’s home turf of Costieres de Nimes, just west of Chateauneuf du Pape, these wines offer up Chateauneuf like style, flavor, and press at a fraction of the price. Sound good? All you have to do is stop by, taste, learn, and save on all of the featured red and white blends in this free wine tasting.

1. 2014 Michel Gassier Cercius Blanc (Southern Rhone Valley) – This enchanting blend of Grenache Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc is the best selling white wine in the store. Offering loads of ripe fruit flavors, great texture, and plenty of balancing acidity, it’s what Josh calls “the perfect white wine.”

2. 2013 Michel Gassier Nostre Pais Blanc (Costieres de Nimes) – This brilliant white wine would put many White Chateauneuf du Papes to bed! A blend of 60% Grenache Blanc with smaller portions of Roussanne, Clairette, and Viognier, “it offers fabulous notes of stone fruits, buttered citrus, white flowers and honeysuckle to go with a medium-bodied, fresh, lively and pure style. While it doesn’t skimp on texture, the focus is more on freshness and purity.” – Jeb Dunnuck – The Wine Advocate – 92 points
