Join us for a fun and adventurous lineup of wines from all over the place. What’s the common theme? They’re all good and the flow of this tasting is spot-on. We’ll start with a rare white wine from Italy before we move to staff favorite from Spain. And in the red category, we’ll start with a simple “Garnacha Guzzler” from Spain before we finish with a couple of more “serious” reds from Italy and Australia. Sound tasty and like a good time? It is! Swing by, taste some wines, increase your understanding and save big!

Please note, all of the tasting wines are 20% off by the bottle on tasting day only. That’s a big discount! Our normal case discount is 15% off so this is a great day to stock up.

Just stop by — we’ve got plenty of free parking.

1. 2018 Le Poggere Est! Est!! Est!!! di Montefiascone (Lazio, Italy) – With a name like that, you know this one’s got a story! David will fill you in there, but to save space on your tasting sheet, we’ll keep it simple. This blend of Trebbiano, Malvasia, and Roscetto is the type of white wine you would encounter at neighborhood Roman trattoria. Fresh, crisp, nicely aromatic and straightforward, it’s a great alternative to Pinot Grigio.

2. 2018 Bodegas Frontonio ‘Microcosmico’ Macabeo (Aragon, Spain) – Here’s a white wine that has gained a cult following recently. Composed entirely of Macabeo (aka Viura), one of Spain’s most important white grapes, this one is made in small quantities in a garage by Master of Wine Fernando Mora and friends. From old, organically-tended vines, this one is loaded with ripe citrus, fennel and mineral notes. 92 points – Wine Advocate

3. 2018 Bodegas Borsao Vina Borgia (Campo de Borja, Spain) – This “no fuss-no muss,” tank-fermented Garnacha from North-Central Spain is easy to drink and even easier on the budget. Boasting ripe notes of cherry, raspberry, and white pepper, have this one on its own or enjoy with comfort food staples like burgers, pizza, or bbq.

4. 2018 Elio Perrone ‘Tasmorcan’ Barbera d’Asti (Piedmont, Italy) – Barbera d’Asti is all about bright and juicy fruit and this one delivers the goods and more. Showcasing a great mix of ripe and rich red and dark fruit notes with just a subtle hint of oak, this is balanced, vibrant and enjoyable in every way.

5. Surprise Wine – We’ll end with a “big” bottle of wine from Down Under. This one is brand new to the store and we think you’re gonna’ like it.
