Try 3 For Free Wine Tasting - Cool Weather Wines

Try 3 For Free Wine Tasting – Asheville’s Best Free Wine Tasting – Saturday, October 8th from 2-5 p.m. featuring some Cool Weather Wines!

We continue our autumnal wine theme with our second free wine tasting of the week! With cooler weather upon us and temperatures continuing to fall, we’re going to pull the corks on some richer, fuller styled reds and white for you. We’ll start with a fantastic, barrel fermented, 92 point rated California Chardonnay that is the ideal pair for roasted butternut squash. After that, we’ll pour you one of Argentina’s perennial best value Cabernet Sauvignons and we’ll finish up with a spicy, 91 point rated Carmenere from Chile. Stop by, taste, learn and save every Saturday at Table Wine.

The Wines
Save big on all of the tasting wines! Mix any 3 of them and save 10%, mix any 6 and save 15%, and mix any 12 and save 20%!

1. 2013 Mount Eden Chardonnay “Wolff Vineyards” (Edna Valley, California) – This is consistently one of the greatest values in high quality California Chardonnay, and the 2013 is absolutely stellar. From one of the oldest Chardonnay vineyards in the state, the wine is barrel fermented and aged on the lees for 8 months prior to bottling. The resulting wine is exquisite! Rich, complex, layered, and balanced, it is the perfect fall white wine. Sadly, this is the last vintage Mount Eden will make. 92 points Wine Enthusiast

2. 2015 Finca Sophenia “Altosur” Cabernet Sauvignon (Mendoza, Argentina) – We have been big supporters of Finca Sophenia since the store opened in 2010, and the wines just seem to be getting better every year. Altosur is the estate’s entry level line of wines, but there’s nothing that tastes “entry level” about this wine. Full bodied, deeply colored, and exhibiting bold notes of dark cherry, blueberry, mocha and toasty oak, it is a soft and supple version of Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink this fantasting cocktail Cabernet with or without food any time of the year.

3. 2013 Errazuriz Carmenere “Max Reserva” (Aconcagua Valley, Chile) – Errazuriz is one of Chile’s oldest and most respected wineries, and we think their Carmenere is one the best produced in the country. From the estate’s oldest vines, this is textbook Carmenere — full flavored, spicy, pliant and packed with flavors of dark berries, pepper, and mole sauce. Do yourself a favor and enjoy this one with classic Mexican fare or with spicy chili. 91 points James Suckling
